Ayelén Coccoz is a visual artist. Her work approaches the sculptural from a performative and relational perspective, proposing a dramaturgy of sculpture. She has coordinated numerous collaborative, artistic and educational projects, such as the creation of the interdisciplinary work space on problems in creation “Club Fénix”, coordinated with Mariana Lerner between 2017 and 2018, the publication of the book “Still”, a multidisciplinary work carried out in collaboration with 20 artists, or his current project “Po_otoreto”.
She trained at the Prilidiano Pueyrredón National School of Fine Arts, at the Hochschule für Bildende Künste Dresden (Germany) and at the Artists Program at the Torcuato Di Tella University. She received support from the National Arts Fund, the Metropolitan Culture Fund and the Cultural Patronage program. She won the 1st prize Itaú Artes Visuales 2014, special mentions in the Fontana prize 2013 and Salón Nacional 2019, 2nd prize UADE 2021, 1st prize Salón Rosa Galisteo de Sta Fé 2022, and was selected for the 8M Prize 2023. Her work was acquired through the Förderankauf der Kulturstiftung Sachsen 2019 program. Her work is part of private and public collections, such as the Contemporary Art collection of the state of Saxony, Germany, the HfBK Dresden, Germany, the Rosa Galisteo Museum in Santa Fé, UADE, Itaú Foundation, among others.
Her work took part in numerous national and international exhibitions.
She lives and works in Buenos Aires.
